In 2025 Winchmore Folk Dance Club celebrated its Golden Anniversary. The club was founded in 1975 by Cyril Jones, who was proactive in encouraging and promoting English Country Dancing everywhere. In 1995 he was awarded the Gold Badge by EFDSS.
WFDC has a long standing association with the Forest Band (Peter Boyce and Chris Carpenter) and Chris continues to provide us with wonderful live music for our Saturday dances.
